Wasting your time while doing something you enjoy and hating yourself for not being productive.

If you don’t find it relatable then either you are really lucky or you’re doing something really right with your life. I am talking about one of those days, weeks or months depends on how unfortunate you are. Those days when you just can’t do anything, you are as energetic as a fiery sloth. I say fiery because even though you are not able to do anything but your mind is on fire. You hate yourself for not making efforts even though it is a self-destructive and potentially life-ruining habit. Even the mere thought of your concerned goal makes you sick and you know what’s worse, the fact that you know exactly what’s wrong with you yet you can’t be better.

In order to get through with this, I think firstly you need to know why is it happening?

Is it possible that you are afraid of a failure to that extent that you aren’t willing to try so at least when you fail, you can empathize with yourself and blame it on not making adequate efforts and not on your capabilities.

Is your mind filled with unnecessary bullshits? The human mind is not made to soak constant information throughout day and night. Our social media timelines are filled with unnecessary information. It’s not like we don’t know it’s bullshit, we know it very well that’s why when we go through that bullshit, we somehow manage to ignore the bigger stinky bullshit and concentrate on lighter bullshit that we like. For instance, the number of tweets that you don’t read on your timeline even though you follow those people. Unfollowing them would be a good start perhaps.

In order to get out of this bubble, we do try to make efforts at times. Like walking, sleeping on schedule, eating healthy. All these things may sound simple but they are very energy-consuming. One thing that works for me at times is, doing something you love. Engaging in the activity that makes you happy and thrilled. It is extremely important to waste your time and enjoy the things you love while doing them and not hate yourself for not being productive. If you are genuinely happy, your bubble will break. You would be able to start healthy.

If you’re enjoying the thing that you are doing then you are not wasting your time. Remember, we are most worried about the future in our youngest of years. Life is too long, your productivity and goals are not bound to time.
